I am the happy owner of a 2003 Triumph Bonneville T100 in Goodwood green and Aztec Gold. Not wanting to give up any luxury features I have been accustomed to on my 1956 Ariel Red Hunter I am adding some missing features.
First of all I ordered it with the optional center stand. Center stands are essential for any motorcycle in my view as they are more stable on boggy ground (admittedly not a problem in California , but old habits die hard, y'ken) and they allow you to do useful things like repair punctures, lube and adjust the chain or just sit and sleep without falling over. Unfortunately the dealer (in San Rafael, CA) completely forgot to install the stand. Indeed when I went in to pick the bike up it had a sign saying "wash me" on it. It still has a lot of the factory green, blue and yellow paint spots on it that I assume are QA check marks. I'm gradually removing them.
Next order of business was a horn upgrade. This got so much positive feedback I am having a go at making horn upgrade kits for sale.
